Composition
Calcium carbonate with mica-based products, binders, and other additives to improve workability. Contains biocides to preserve organic ingredients in the compound.

Applications:

Designed for ease of use with excellent coverage. GTEC Smartmix Xtra increases productivity and work efficiency with the added benefit that it can be either hand or machine applied.

Estimator:20kg - 50m2 for a full taping operation, 135m2 for a finishing coat.

• Use in accordance with British Standards codes of practice BS8212:1995 and BS 8000-8:1994 workmanship.
• Not suitable for bedding external corner protection.
• Do not apply setting compounds over air-drying compounds.
• Preparation:
  Plasterboard surfaces should be reasonably clean and dry. Boards should be fully secured, and any proud fixings should be driven plumb with a hand screwdriver, prior to taping and jointing.
  

Mixing:

• Light stirring may be required to ensure smooth consistency of Siniat Smartmix.

Application onto the board joint:

Apply Siniat Smartmix (alternatively use Siniat Joint Filler) to the joint to embed GTEC Joint Tape and immediately overcoat to fully fill the tapered edge boards. Ensure the product is dry before applying the second coat with Siniat Smartmix. Apply third coat for optimum finish. Sand down when fully dry.

Decorating:

Apply a GTEC Drywall Sealer or GTEC Universal Sealer before decorating for the best finish.
